In this bonus episode of The Whole MotherLoad, I share the deeply personal story of Sarah O’Flaherty — my cousin from Ireland, my pen pal, and ultimately, the woman whose life has intertwined so closely with mine.
What began as a teenage letter exchange grew into a bond that connected me to my husband, Thom, and later to Sarah’s son, Logan, after her heartbreaking passing shortly after his birth. Through unexpected moments of connection, loss, and grace, Sarah continues to play a role in my life — as a friend, a connector, and a guardian angel.
